As a rider Richard has produced young horse up to into International CSI** shows on both his own horses and for Owners. He has spent time training with International Riders Geoff Glazzard and Derek Morton at the Beech House Stud in Staffordshire, Di Lampard (Now team GB performance manager) and in the autumn of 2016 worked for German Olympian Ludger Beerbaum in Germany

As a coach Richard is British Show Jumping UK Coaching Certificate Level 3 Coach, British Show Jumping Para Coach and Pony Club accredited coach. As a coach Richard believes working in partnership with each horse and rider combination and with the rider,  helping to set and work towards achievable goals, tailored to the individual. 

Richard is also an East Midlands Representative on the British Show Jumping Members Council for 2015 until 2017 and was appointed in January 2017 to serve a 3 year term on the British Show Jumping National Sport Committee.

Finally Richard is also a very keen small scale breeder of Show Jumping horses, using a variety of Stallions from all over Europe and quality mares all selected for their performance and abilities.
