Backlash 2nd

On Sunday 21st December 2014 Richard took Backlash to Field House Equestrian Centre to jump in the discovery class. A solid performance resulted in a double clear round result which was good enough for a final 2nd placed finish

A pleased Richard commented "I was really happy with her performance today, she is really starting to come on in her work now and I am very excited about the future with her"

Eland Lodge Show Jumping Clinic 6th December 2014

Today Richard was busy coaching again at Eland Lodge Equestrian Centre.

"We had a  range of riders today at the Clinic, with some old and new faces" said Richard "Eveyone one worked really hard it was great pleasure to coach them" "Also I must thank Eland Lodge for putting the clinic on and I look forward to the next clinic on the 1st February 2015"

British Show Jumping Conference 2014

On Wednesday 3rd December 2014 Richard attended the annual British Show Jumping Coaching Conference. The main themes of the day were around creating an Elite Training Environment, Adult Participation in the sport and a lecture demo from top Irish Coach John Ledingham.

"It has been a very interesting day" Commented Richard "I always learn a lot from these conferences and it always great to meet up with other coaches and discuss ideas and coaching philosophy's"

Keysoe CSI November 2014

Richard was in action again this weekend at the Keysoe CSI show (28th - 30th November 2014) with Vamos and Miss Cavalier Lady. Both horses put in some great performance against very tough opposition and over some very technical and demanding tracks set by Kelvin Bywater

The highlight of the show though was earned by Vamos though who squeaked into the placing's on the opening day in 11th place. A delighted Richard commented

"I am so please with both horses at this show. Both put in some great performances over the three days and have obviously learnt and built on these past performances from the international shows from earlier this year. The highlight of course was Vamos. I was so proud of her and she was only just out the placing the other 2 days as well" " It has been a brilliant few days and full marks to Keysoe for putting on such a great show"

Good Luck At The National Amateur Finals

We just wanted to take to take this Opportunity to wish all of Richard's pupils our best wishes and Good luck for their respective classes at the National Amateur Finals at Aintree this week. You have all worked so hard and we are sure you efforts will be rewarded.

We are delighted to announce that Richard will be attending the British Show Jumping Coaches Conference 2014 on 3rd December 2014

Training Available

Need some training? Unsure how to progress or get the best from your horse? No problem. As from the 1st of November 2014 as well as the usual horse and rider combination training services Richard offers there will be the opportunity to bring your horse to us for  2 - 3 days for both Show Jumping and flat work training. So you can enjoy a one to one training session each day and reap the benefits of having so many lessons in quick succession. You can leave your horse with us and they will be well taken care of. The training will be taken by Richard and the highly experienced dressage coach and rider Hilary Seals. For more details please get in touch.
